Q: What are the different pricing plans that you offer for online backup?
A. We currently have several pricing plans, including two Home User Plans and three Business Security Plans. The least expensive Home User Plan costs $9.95 per month and includes 1 gigabyte of storage space. The least expensive Business Security Plan has a base price of $24.95 per month and includes 5 GB of storage space.
TopQ: Are there other differences between the plans besides storage space?
A. Yes. Our Business Security Plans allow multiple computers to be backed up using one account. Business Security Plans I and II include one (1) computer and Business Security Plan III includes 10 computers. With any of these plans, you can purchase additional computers. In addition, the Business Security Plans include free plugin support for Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003 and Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
TopQ: How much does it cost to add an additional computer to my account?
A.If you have Business Security Plan I or II, each additional computer is $19.95. If you have Business Security Plan III, each additional computer is $14.95. With either plan, you receive 5 GB of additional storage space for each additional computer. In addition, storage space is aggregated among all the computers in your account.
TopQ: Is there a limit to the number of computers that I can install?
A. No, these two terms are generally used interchangeably. There is, of course, a difference between different online backup services.
TopQ: Which plan is right for me?
A. If you are a home user or small office and need to backup only one computer with a modest amount of data then one of our Home User Plans is right for you. If you need to: backup a larger amount of data, backup multiple computers, or backup a Microsoft Exchange or SQL Server database, then you will want to purchase one of our Business Security Plans.
TopQ: What if my needs or my company's needs do not fit into one of these plans?
A. If you or your company has needs that do not fit into any of these plans, please contact us via email at sales@intronis.com or call us at 800-569-0155. We would be happy to work with you to devise a plan that will fit your backup requirements.
TopQ: Is the amount of storage space that I use calculated on a compressed or uncompressed basis?
A. The amount of storage space is calculated on a compressed basis. In other words, the storage space you are using is calculated on the amount of data that is actually sent and stored on the Intronis servers. Depending on the types of files that you are backing up, you may actually receive two or three times as much storage space than you are paying for because of compression.
TopQ: What if I go over the storage space?
A. If the amount of data that you back up (after compression) exceeds the amount of storage included in your plan (plus any additional storage that you have signed up for), you will receive a notification via email approximately 7 days before the end of your billing cycle. You will be able to continue to backup and use the service uninterrupted. This 7 day period gives you the opportunity to delete files that no longer need backing up or to purchase additional storage space. If you are still over the purchased amount at the time of your next billing cycle, you will be billed for additional storage space at the rate of $0.0099 per megabyte (the equivalent of $4.95 per 500 megabytes) if you have a Home User Plan or $0.00495 per megabyte (the equivalent of $4.95 per 1 gigabyte) if you have Business Security Plan I, II or III.
