Louisiana MSP Leverages Intronis to Protect and Empower Clients
In an area prone to hurricanes and major storms, cloud-based backup and data protection is essential to business survival.
ACT Technologies is on a mission to simplify the lives of its end-user clients, many of whom are local government agencies and SMBs, by making it easier for them to select and implement complete computing solutions for their businesses.
“With the influx of so many hardware and software providers throughout the market, end-users face an enormous task when it comes to choosing the right technologies to meet the unique requirements of their businesses,” says Marcus Braun, President of ACT Technologies, a managed services provider based in Reserve, Louisiana. “Our goal is to make this process as painless as possible, and to have our clients feel empowered, not hampered, by their computers and technology systems.”
One of the pain points for ACT Technologies’ clients is online backup and data protection. “We live in a region that is frequently hit by hurricanes, and it is not uncommon for our community to find itself underwater during some of the largest storms,” continues Braun. “This is why it is critical that we ensure our clients are backing up their data offsite, so that none of the businesses we serve, go out of business due to data loss.”
Being on a “First Name Basis” Makes all the Difference for ACT Technologies
Regardless of the vendor or technology, the team at ACT Technologies wants to know who they are working with, when it comes to selling technology solutions to their end-users. “We like to be on a first name basis with our vendors, and know exactly who to get a hold of when we have an issue,” says Braun.
When ACT Technologies first began selling online backup solutions to their clients, they partnered with a local firm. “We were very happy with their customer service, and they were always very responsive to our needs, until they day they merged with a larger online backup provider, and everything went down hill from there,” says Braun. “The technical support we were receiving was very unsatisfactory, and there was little consistency in terms of who we were talking to in customer service, so we decided to make a change.”
Partner: Exceptional Customer Service is Key to Long-Term Success
While searching for a new cloud-based backup and data protection provider, ACT Technologies came across Intronis as a result of a cold call from one of its sales executives. “All it took was that single cold call, one Webinar, and a little negotiation to sell us on Intronis,” says Braun. “We made the switch and haven’t looked back since.”
ACT Technologies has been leveraging the Intronis platform since 2010, and one of the things they appreciate most is the customer service.“We can always get a hold of someone if an issue comes up,” continues Braun.
And, things have run like clockwork for ACT Technologies since migrating to the Intronis platform. “Occasionally a user will delete a file, or servers will go down, and we have had one major storm where the community was under water, but thanks to Intronis our clients’ data was well-protected in each of these instances,” says Braun. “We couldn’t be happier with Intronis and its customer service.”
Currently, approximately 20% of ACT Technologies’ revenue comes from selling Intronis cloud backup. “We are consistently working to grow our business here in the greater New Orleans area, and we hope to see that number increase over time,” concludes Braun.
